Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to switch?
Any time works, but it is easiest after the monthly filings (after the 14th and 25th) or after the year-end close. Don't wait if returns are already late — every month of delay increases the risk.
Which documents do I need?
Trial balances and the general ledger, VAT ledgers and returns, payroll records and returns, financial statements and tax returns for recent years, the asset register, contracts and a list of receivables and payables. We send you a ready-made checklist.
What if the previous accountant won't hand over the documents?
Accounting records belong to the company. We help with a formal written request and, where needed, rebuild missing information from the bank, the NRA and counterparties.
How long does it take?
Usually 2–4 weeks, depending on volume and how quickly the documents arrive. Deadlines don't stop in the meantime — we take over the current month straight away.
